The Medical Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, answering phones, and maintaining patient records while ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls
- Schedule, reschedule patient appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, retrieve BCN global referrals
- Collect balances on outstanding patient payments
- Check patients in and out, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
- Maintain and update patient records and demographic information in the system
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues or escalate as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting area
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and office operations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
