Job summary

AFC Urgent Care - Orchards is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to warmly welcome patients and support a fast-paced clinic. You will manage check-in, verify insurance, handle payments, and assist with calls, emails, and administrative duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of people-facing customer service experience, required
• At least 1 year of experience with medical administrative duties, preferred
• Solid computer skills and comfortable learning new systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm, friendly attitude and set the tone for their visit
• Guide patients through check-in and enter forms into the EMR system
• Verify insurance details and explain payment due at time of service
• Complete checkout and organize medical records and documents
• Manage incoming phone calls and route to the right team member
• Handle emails and faxes promptly and accurately
• Maintain the cash drawer from setup to end-of-day closeout
• Keep front desk and lobby area clean, calm, and disinfected between patients
• Support the clinic team and take on other tasks as needed by the Clinic Manager
