Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. Responsibilities include managing patient information related to durable medical equipment and respiratory products, communicating with patients, co-workers, and referral sources, and handling third-party reimbursements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with updating respiratory grid and checking paperwork for accuracy
  • Communicate with patients and referral sources to address questions and concerns
  • Complete SOPs/CMNs and document on tracking logs
  • Coordinate patient information, process paperwork for billing, and prepare reports
  • Maintain referral logs and office supplies
  • Prepare deposits and invoices, process paperwork, and provide retail/walk-in service
  • Verify insurance coverage and work with outside agencies to resolve issues
  • Potentially cover on-call duties, drive a company vehicle, and make home deliveries

Qualifications

  • Background check and drug screening as applicable
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record if driving is required

Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with medical equipment, billing, and medical terminology
  • One year of related work preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Math skills, effective communication, confidentiality, multi-tasking, organization, and teamwork

Physical Demands

  • Lifting equipment, potential for home visits, and exposure to pathogens
