The College of Osteopathic Medicine at Xavier University (XUCOM) invites applications for a 12-month Medical Education Specialist position beginning in late summer/early fall 2026. The role supports the Office of Medical Education, including administration of the first-year DO pre-clinical curriculum and MA Biomedical Science program.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Experience working in higher education is preferred.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students, faculty, colleagues, and administration to support the learning of all students within the COM
• Assist with assessment-related efforts including the creation and management of course and faculty evaluations, updating curriculum maps.
• Support information collection and flow for learning management system (Canvas) data and assessment management systems
• Support data entry and ground level assessment information and processing for the Associate Deans.
• Maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail are essential.

Medical Education Specialist

The College of Osteopathic Medicine at Xavier University (XUCOM), aCatholic University in the Jesuit tradition, invites applicationsfor a 12-month position beginning in the late summer/early fall2026. The Medical Education Specialist assists in thedevelopment and coordination of elements related to the Office ofMedical Education, including the administration of the first-yearDO pre-clinical curriculum as well as the Master of Arts inBiomedical Science curriculum. This position supportsfacultyclassroom instruction and testing including the compiling andformatting of exams,administering exams,assisting inmaintainingaccurate grades, posting of all teaching materials toCanvas courses, and administering class assessments. This positionworks closely with the Associate Dean for Curricular Assessment andQuality and reports to the Director of Medical Education. TheMedical Education Specialist will have significant interaction withboth students and faculty, and an amicable, professional demeanoris essential.
