Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Education Coordinator to oversee the operational and financial management of medical education programs (fellowship, residency, clerkship) under the Program Director.

The role requires understanding of national accreditation policies, initiative, and independent judgment in coordinating trainee recruitment, databases, and internal/external program relations. Strong communication and administrative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• At least one year of program or project administration experience.
• Preferred experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education program administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational and financial management of an accredited/non-accredited medical education training program (fellowship, residency, clerkship).
• Coordinate recruitment activities, trainee scheduling, and communication with faculty and trainees.
• Manage program databases, filing, records, and routine office systems; prepare monthly/yearly schedules.
• Monitor budgets and purchasing; assist with grant administration as needed; liaise with department and hospital leadership.
• Support accreditation activities and site visits; ensure compliance with ACGME and hospital policies.
