Job summary

Baton Rouge General Medical Center seeks a highly organized Medical Education & GME Coordinator to support physician education, residency programs, and medical student clerkships.

The role covers Acute coordination for visiting residents, UME rotations, and cross-support with residency programs and HMG. Strong organizational and credentialing skills, plus familiarity with MedHub/ERAS, are essential.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of administrative experience required; experience in a medical education, GME, or academic healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
• College-level business coursework or equivalent associate/bachelor's degree preferred.
• Familiarity with residency management platforms (MedHub, New Innovations, QGenda), ERAS, and ACGME WebADS is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, database management, and credentialing verification skills.
• Proven ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and HIPAA-regulated information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outside rotator and visiting resident rotations and manage onboarding clearances.
• Oversee medical student rotations and clerkships in partnership with affiliated medical schools.
• Provide cross-support to residency programs and Hospital Medicine Group coordinators.
• Assist with CME planning, accreditation reviews, data collection, and expense reporting.
