Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID, seeks an Educational Clerkship Coordinator to support the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) Regional Office onsite. You will coordinate clinical student placements for 3rd and 4th year medical students, manage didactic programs, schedules, and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or associate degree, have 2 years of medical office experience, and demonstrate strong organization with Microsoft Office; driving privileges

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 2 years of Medical Office experience required, healthcare setting preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to Regional Assistant Dean and monitor student progress.
• Coordinate logistics for didactic programs and professional development seminars.
• Schedule meetings, interviews, appointments, and travel arrangements.
• Maintain and organize paperwork for students, preceptors, and the Regional Assistant Dean.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions for Clerkship Coordinators.
• Prepare and distribute correspondence, agendas, and reports.
• Order departmental supplies and coordinate educational conferences.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and email.
• Maintain departmental databases and records.
• Serve as liaison between departments and external contacts for ICOM and Saint Alphonsus.
• Develop and manage scheduling for hospital rotations and electives.
• Provide rotation information and directions to students and preceptors.
• Ensure schedules comply with curriculum and policies.
• Assist preceptors with student concerns and regulatory compliance.
