MedSpeed in Elmhurst, IL is hiring a Medical Driver to support transporting lab specimens, records, and medical supplies in a company vehicle. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with shifts 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM and a $20.00 hourly rate plus a $1.00 premium after 10 PM.

The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service as you operate scanning devices, follow schedules, and maintain a professional image while delivering essential healthcare materials.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Route duties vary based on client and business needs.
