MedSpeed is hiring a Medical Driver in Elmhurst to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, and supplies in a company vehicle. You will use a handheld scanner to track items, follow schedules, and maintain a professional client image.

The role requires a clean driving history, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and compliance with drug and vaccination requirements. Training is provided and on-demand pay is available.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and ability to adapt to new systems.
• Ability to follow procedures closely and determine efficient routing.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screens.
• Must have excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through transportation.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items using appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving; conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Adapt to changing routes and client needs across all routes.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to support a strong team culture.
