Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA seeks a Dosimetrist I to perform external beam and HDR planning, using Mosaiq EMR and other planning software to create dosimetry plans for prescribed radiation doses. You will collaborate with physicians, physicists, therapists and staff to ensure accurate, efficient treatment simulations and delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Dosimetry program or certified Radiation Therapist.
• Board eligible in Dosimetry (MDCB).
• Excellent communication skills.
• May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Bachelor’s in Radiation Therapy, Math, or Physics preferred.
• Board certification by MDCB preferred; if not certified, certification within 1 year.
• 0–2 years dosimetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform external beam radiation therapy planning procedures and dose calculations.
• Perform HDR planning procedures and dose calculations.
• Use Mosaiq EMR and other software to accomplish planning tasks.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, physics, therapists to ensure proper plan simulation and treatment.
• Follow physician directives to create radiation plans and present dosimetry results.
• Assist in the Simulation process with Therapists/Physicians/Physicists as requested.
• Perform charge capture for procedures and reconcile with EMR documentation.
