Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, based in Seattle, Washington, seeks an experienced Dosimetrist I for its Proton Therapy Center. You will perform external beam and HDR planning, use Mosaiq EMR, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure dosimetrically sound treatment plans are delivered efficiently.

Required are medical dosimetry training or radiation therapy certification, MDCB eligibility, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from Medical Dosimetry school or be a certified Radiation Therapist.
• Board eligible in Dosimetry as recognized by MDCB.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform external beam radiation therapy planning procedures and dose calculations.
• Perform HDR planning procedures and dose calculations.
• Use Mosaiq as EMR and other software to accomplish this.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, physics, therapists and staff to ensure plans are simulated, planned and treated appropriately.
• Follow Physician directives to create plans and present dosimetry results.
• Assist in Simulation with Therapists/Physicians/Physicists as requested.
• Perform charge capture and reconcile charges with documentation in EMR.
