Job summary

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1-2 days/week) to join our medical team in the Phoenix, AZ area.

The role involves bedside wound care, daily rounds across facilities, and close collaboration with nursing and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO)
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)
• General Practitioners welcome to apply
• Valid state driver's license

Responsibilities

• Deliver wound care at the bedside in post-acute care settings.
• Round daily at multiple facilities.
• No supervisory commitment.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments with attention to wound formation risks.
• Collaborate with facility staff to implement effective wound care plans.
• Educate nursing staff and coordinate with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear usage instructions.
• Provide quality patient care to geriatric patients.

Job Details: Job Location: Phoenix, AZ - Phoenix, AZ, Salary Range: $195,000.00 - $227,010.00 Base+Commission/year, Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1-2 days/week) to work in/near the Phoenix, AZ in our progressive medical practice.

Our experienced medical providers perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing wound care to residents of post-acute rehab settings, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO)
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)
• General Practitioners welcome to apply

Duties

• Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends
• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
• Round daily at multiple facilities
• No supervisory commitment

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to factors that increase the risk of wound formation.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate wound dressings.
• Educate nursing staff, and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.
• Provide quality patient care to the Geriatric patient population.
