Job summary

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1-2 days per week) to deliver bedside wound care in the post-acute setting. Weekday commitment with no call, evenings, or weekends.

You will round at multiple facilities, collaborate with facility staff, and educate nursing teams while maintaining communication with primary care physicians and families. Competitive base+commission salary and a full benefits package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO)
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to factors that increase the risk of wound formation.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate wound dressings.
• Educate nursing staff, and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.
• Provide quality patient care to the Geriatric patient population.

Job Details: Job Location: Alexandria, LA - Alexandria, LA, Salary Range: $195,000.00 - $227,010.00 Base+Commission/year, Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for a Part‑Time Wound Care Specialist (1-2 days/week) to work in/near Alexandria, LA in our progressive medical practice.

Duties:

• Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends
• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
• Round daily at multiple facilities
• No supervisory commitment
