Job summary

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist to support post-acute care facilities around Baton Rouge, LA (1-2 days per week). You will deliver bedside wound care, round at multiple facilities, and coordinate with facility staff to implement effective wound care plans.

No call, evenings, or weekends. Qualified MD/DO licensed physicians are encouraged; board certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine); valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO) required.
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine).
• General Practitioners welcome to apply.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends.
• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
• Round daily at multiple facilities.
• No supervisory commitment.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, with focus on wound risk factors.
• Collaborate with facility staff to implement effective wound care plans.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressings.
• Educate nursing staff and maintain communication with PCPs, families, and clinical teams as required.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.
• Provide quality care to geriatric patients.

Job Details: Job Location: Baton Rouge, LA - Baton Rouge, LA, Salary Range: $195,000.00 - $227,010.00 Base+Commission/year, Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for aPart-TimeWound Care Specialist(1-2 days/week) to work in/near the Baton Rouge, LAin our progressive medical practice.

Our experienced medical providers perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing wound care to residents of post-acute rehab settings, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals.

Qualifications:

• Active state medical license (MD/DO)
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)
