Companion Animal Hospital Wicker Park in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join our team!

Companion Animal Hospital (CAH) - Wicker Park is a full-service small animal hospital, offering comprehensive medical and surgical care. Opened in July 2019, our facility features brand new equipment including in-house lab machines, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and electronic medical records.

Our support staff are highly skilled, proficient in radiography (including dental radiographs), blood draws, cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, surgical monitoring, exam assistance, and cytology reading, all within a low-stress environment. We are proud to be Fear Free Certified.

We are seeking an ambitious, team-oriented Medical Director.

The Medical Director (MD) at MVP is responsible for ensuring Medical Excellence in patient care, client service, ongoing learning, and hospital efficiency. This role involves role modeling, coaching, and mentoring associate veterinarians, collaborating closely with the Practice Manager (PM) to foster a collaborative and positive work environment. The MD and PM will develop annual plans to improve medical standards and overall hospital performance, focusing on growth, client satisfaction, pet visits, employee retention, and hospital profitability. The MD may also serve as the Hospital Director.

We offer flexible scheduling; no on-call or overnight shifts are required due to nearby referral hospitals for emergencies and specialties.
