Companion Animal Hospital Wicker Park in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join our amazing team!

Companion Animal Hospital (CAH) - Wicker Park is a full-service small animal hospital, offering the best in medical and surgical care. We opened in July 2019, and our facility and equipment are all brand new. We are fully equipped with in-house lab machines, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and electronic medical records.

Our support staff are incredible, and we utilize them to the fullest. Our technicians are proficient in radiography (including dental rads!), blood draws, cystocentesis, placing IV catheters, monitoring during surgery, assisting in exam rooms, and reading cytology, all while maintaining a low stress environment for each patient. We are proud to be Fear Free Certified.

MVP is seeking an ambitious and team-oriented Medical Director.

The Medical Director (MD) of Mission Veterinary Partners ("MVP") is responsible for the continuous pursuit of Medical Excellence, encompassing patient care, client service excellence, lifelong learning, and hospital efficiency. This key leader role involves role modeling for all associate veterinarians, providing coaching and mentorship in medical excellence. The MD will work closely with the Practice Manager (PM) to foster collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement, creating a safe and enjoyable environment that promotes teamwork and retention.

In collaboration with their Regional Director, the Medical Director and Practice Manager will develop an annual plan to advance Medical Excellence and overall hospital performance. A successful Medical Director leads with a growth mindset, servant leadership, clinical excellence, and leverages the MVP network for recruiting and achieving hospital goals. The MD contributes to revenue growth, client transaction metrics, pet visits, client satisfaction (NPS), and employee satisfaction and retention. The MD may also serve as the Hospital Director.
