Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Medical Director for the Baltimore market to advance clinical excellence, strengthen provider engagement, and lead clinical value-based care across the market.

The role combines direct patient care, clinical leadership, and VBC program management, partnering with central teams. The Medical Director will coach clinicians, oversee care delivery, and drive population health initiatives to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Board certification in one of the listed specialties.
• Active Maryland MD license (multi-state licensure possible).
• Approximately 5 years of outpatient practice experience.
• Experience in value-based care models to improve quality and outcomes.
• Clinical oversight or coaching of other providers.
• Must reside in the Baltimore market and provide direct care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Baltimore market.
• Lead clinical excellence and oversee VBC program management.
• Coach nurse practitioners and other providers within Upperline Plus.
• Identify market opportunities and improve clinical processes and outcomes.
