Job summary

Upperline Health in Baltimore seeks a Medical Director to lead clinical excellence within Upperline Plus and advance value-based care across the market. The role blends patient care, clinical leadership, and program management with hands-on coaching of nurse practitioners and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Approximately 30–50% of time will be spent in the clinic in the greater Baltimore area.

Qualifications

• MD or DO medical degree.
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Active Maryland medical license; multi-state licensure preferred.
• About 5 years outpatient practice experience with high-risk, complex populations.
• Experience in value-based care models and quality improvement.
• Clinical oversight or coaching of other providers.
• Must reside in market and visit local clinics regularly.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for Upperline Plus in the Baltimore market.
• Lead VBC program management and engage with interdisciplinary teams.
• Coach nurse practitioners and coordinate care across the market.
• Spend 30–50% of time in the clinic setting in the greater Baltimore area.
