Labcorp is seeking a Medical Director - Pathologist to lead the Baltimore laboratory and oversee PGDx precision oncology testing, including interpretation of tissue- and blood-based oncologic assays.

The role emphasizes medical leadership, assay development oversight, and collaboration across clinical teams to ensure quality, turnaround, and impact on patient care in a high‑complexity molecular diagnostics environment in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
• Fellowship training in Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) or equivalent advanced molecular diagnostics training.
• 3+ years post-training practice in anatomic/molecular pathology.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and sign out precision oncology cases.
• Provide on-site medical coverage and oversight for the Baltimore laboratory.
• Perform tissue adequacy review and quality control for PGDx assays and related tests.
• Lead pathology efforts for the development and launch of oncology assays.
• Support assay development, validation, and product launches in precision oncology.
• Contribute to study design, data interpretation, and scientific communications.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and regulatory requirements.
