Job summary

Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is seeking a Medical Director for the Certified Mental Health Assistant Program to provide clinical perspective to the curriculum and supervise clinical sites. This part-time, non-tenure track appointment will support curriculum growth, site calibration, and CQI of clinical experiences.

The role requires board certification in Psychiatry, an Ohio medical license, and substantial teaching experience in university medical education.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry with 10 years of clinical experience.
• Current Ohio medical license to practice medicine.
• Minimum 5 years' experience teaching students or residents.
• Experience teaching in university-based undergraduate or graduate medical education.
• Experience coordinating and supervising clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Program Advisory Committee and assist with recruiting clinical sites.
• Teach in classroom and clinical settings and develop the didactic and clinical curriculum.
• Assist with metrics required to maintain accreditation and accreditation compliance.
• Coordinate clinical rotations and calibrate sites for quality patient education.
• Represent the program at professional events and engage with statewide stakeholders.
