Job summary

NEOMED is seeking an Open Rank Faculty, Medical Director for the Certified Mental Health Assistant Program. The part-time, non-tenure track appointment focuses on providing clinical perspective to curriculum and coordinating clinical rotations to meet accreditation standards.

The Medical Director will lead teaching activities, supervise clinical sites, build a high-quality educational experience, and collaborate with program leadership and state-wide stakeholders.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in Psychiatry with 10 years of clinical experience.
• Current active Ohio medical license.
• Minimum 5 years teaching students or residents.
• Teaching in university-based undergraduate/graduate medical education.
• Coordinating activity of and supervising clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Program Advisory Committee and assist with recruiting clinical sites and faculty.
• Coordinate pre-clinical classes and clinical rotations to meet accreditation requirements.
• Calibrate clinical sites to ensure high-quality educational experiences and student success.
• Provide CQI of the clinical curriculum and serve as Medical Liaison with state-wide stakeholders.
• Instruct in classroom and clinical settings; develop and analyze curriculum to ensure medical knowledge.
• Participate in college/university committees and professional organizations; engage in service activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

MD/DO from an accredited medical school

Residency in Psychiatry

Board Certified in Psychiatry

Ohio medical license (active)

Teaching residents or students in a university setting

Coordination of clinical sites and clinicians
