As we continue to grow, we are seeking a qualified and passionate Medical Director to join our team and lead our medical operations.

Position Overview

The Medical Director will oversee all medical aspects of our med spa, ensuring compliance with North Carolina regulations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. This position requires a licensed physician who will be responsible for establishing medical protocols, supervising medical staff, and ensuring the quality and efficacy of all medical treatments offered at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for all aesthetic and wellness procedures performed at the med spa
• Develop, implement, and maintain medical protocols and standard operating procedures
• Ensure compliance with all North Carolina Medical Board regulations and other applicable state laws
• Perform patient consultations and medical assessments as needed
• Oversee and provide medical training to licensed practitioners (NPs, PAs, RNs)
• Review and approve treatment plans for complex cases
• Stay current with advancements in aesthetic medicine and introduce new, evidence-based treatments
• Participate in quality assurance activities and adverse event management
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Collaborate with management on business development strategies and marketing compliance
• Attend required on-site hours as mandated by North Carolina regulations

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Current, unrestricted medical license in North Carolina
• Board certification in a relevant specialty (Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Family Medicine, etc.)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aesthetic medicine or a related field
• Experience with various aesthetic procedures (Botox, fillers, laser treatments, etc.)
• Knowledge of North Carolina medical spa regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Professional liability insurance

Legal Requirements

• Must meet all North Carolina Medical Board requirements for medical spa supervision
• Comply with the North Carolina Medical Practice Act regarding supervision of mid-level practitioners
• Maintain proper documentation of all delegated procedures and supervision activities

Hours and Compensation

• Position requires minimum on-site presence as required by NC regulations (typically monthly)
• Additional hours as needed for patient consultations and staff supervision
