Job Title Associate Director Patient Access and Services

Our client is a global biopharmaceutical leader dedicated to creating life changing treatments for patients facing complex medical conditions. They are currently seeking a strategic leader to join their team as the Associate Director of Patient Access and Services. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for crafting and executing support strategies across the organizations diverse therapeutic portfolios including oncology and neuroscience.

You will report directly to the Senior Director of Patient Support Services and Hub Operations. Your primary focus will be to enhance hub processes and elevate the overall patient and provider experience through innovative access programs and streamlined communication tactics.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute franchise wide strategies to optimize hub performance and support services.
  • Use market insights and data to design programs that address the specific needs of patients and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to align access initiatives with broader market strategies.
  • Lead the development of program content and training tools for customer facing teams.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on reimbursement and access solutions.
  • Manage the implementation of affordability programs including copay assistance and patient support offerings.
  • Monitor operational impact through key performance indicators and feedback loops.
  • Oversee relationships with third party vendors and agencies ensuring high service standards and budget compliance.
  • Partner with field reimbursement and sales teams to improve workflows and training.
  • Present operational results and strategic updates to senior leadership.
  • Stay current on industry trends and policy changes through professional and patient advocacy conferences.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree is preferred or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in patient support services hub operations or access marketing within the biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Proven background in managing specialty or rare disease products.
  • Deep understanding of Medicare Part D and commercial reimbursement landscapes.
  • Strong track record of managing complex projects and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately thirty percent of the time for corporate and industry events.
Compensation

The base salary range for this position is between one hundred sixty thousand and two hundred forty thousand dollars per year. Final compensation will be determined by the specific expertise and experience of the candidate. This role is also eligible for annual bonus programs and equity grants along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision and retirement savings plans.
