You will align with brand strategy and identify solutions to barriers in patient access, leading complex vendor partnerships and coordinating with legal and regulatory teams. The role requires extensive experience in patient support access initiatives, cross-functional leadership, and a deep understanding of US market

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in US patient support programs
  • Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or related commercial functions with patient access experience
  • Experience designing patient support programs that improve the patient journey

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic framework for patient access hubs and deployment for specialty products
  • Lead operations and continuous improvement of hub to support patient needs in a complex market
  • Partner with brand teams to identify solutions for patient access barriers
  • Manage large hub vendor partnerships
  • Coordinate with Patient Assistance Foundation to ensure PAP referral rules
  • Own annual strategy development and quarterly business reviews for the COE
  • Collaborate with legal/regulatory to ensure program compliance
  • Demonstrate accountability for all projects and assignments
  • Develop annual strategies and provide ongoing strategic support to brand teams
  • Engage with US Commercial teams to educate on program design and feasibility, select and set up vendor programs
  • Manage Associate Directors and consultants on US Hub programs

Job Description:

The Director of US Hub Programs, Patient Access COE, will provide strategic input and share the management of a growing portfolio of Hub programs in the US, including new programs for launch products. The Director is responsible for understanding and aligning to individual brand strategy and to identify and recommend solutions for addressing barriers to patient access.

Primary activities would include:
  • Provide the strategic framework, guidance, development and deployment of patient access and support "hubs" for specialty products, including for upcoming US launches of our company's products
  • Lead the operations and continuous improvement efforts of the hub to support the needs of the patient in a complex and evolving marketplace
  • Partner with the brand team to identify solutions for patient access barriers
  • Manage large/complex hub vendor partnerships
  • Work with Our Company's Patient Assistance Foundation to ensure consistent PAP referral business rules
  • Primary Budget Point & Quarterly Business Reviews/Quarterly Key Results Point for the Patient Access COE
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory departments to ensure compliance with internal and external rules for all programs.
  • Exhibit ownership and accountability for all projects and internal assignments
  • Development of annual strategies and tactics plan, seeking input and guidance from brand team; provide ongoing strategic support to brand teams
  • Engage with US Commercial teams to educate them on the potential shape of such programs, determine what features are important and feasible, select, contract and set up programs with vendors, work with legal, and other parts of the organization as needed.
  • Manage Associate Directors and consultants assigned to US Hub programs.
Education Minimum Requirement:
  • BA/BS degree
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 year in US Patient Support Programs
  • Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or related commercial functions with experience in patient support, patient access and market access
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing patient support programs that improve that patient journey
  • Expertise in managing large vendor/hub partnerships and complex, multi-stakeholder operational environments
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance frameworks governing patient support programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, proven leadership and interpersonal skills, and proficiently in leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of US market access landscape, including the nuances of pharmacy and medical benefit structures
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and execution skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through evolving business needs.
  • Strong project management skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Respiratory, Oncology, and/or Rare Disease
  • Strong leadership and demonstrated experience leading a high performing team
  • Experience designing patient support operating models

The salary range for this role is $190,800.00 - $300,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
