Position Overview

We are looking for a mission-driven Medical Dietitian to join our team! In consultation with the medical provider, the Medical Dietitian assesses the nutritional status of patients. They provide nutrition therapy and education to optimize the health of patients and enhance medical care and treatment. Nutrition therapy includes the assessment of patient nutritional status, diet modification treatment, and monitoring of patient response to treatment. During the medical nutrition intervention, the Medical Dietitian will counsel patients on behavioral and lifestyle changes required to impact long-term eating habits and health.

Position Details

This is a full-time hybrid position located on our main campus (30th & L). The schedule will be 40 hours per week; generally, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutrition Science, or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Medical Nutrition Therapist in Nebraska required.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish required.
  • Knowledge in diabetes, weight reduction, nutrition, and cholesterol management.
  • Ability to relate with empathy and effectiveness to patients, co-workers, healthcare providers, and the public.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • One or more years of nutritional counseling/education experience in a clinical setting preferred.
