Job summary

Medtronic in the United States is hiring a Software Test Engineer II for the Affera Mapping and Ablation System. This onsite role supports testing and QA for high-performance medical device software, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and executing test plans, scripting in Python or C++/C#, and validating real-time visualization software, with a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Test protocols to verify software requirements.
• Work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs.
• Good documentation practices.
• Experience managing test cases in a repository (Polarion, TFS, TestRail, JAMA, Matrix).
• Strong debugging and analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Test the functionality and performance of the systems software
• Develop and execute manual test plans and scripts designed to detect problems
• Maintain broad understanding of current testing software technologies
• Ensure systems software meets technical and functional requirements
• Perform workflow analysis, document test results and recommend quality improvements
• Work with engineers to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models
• Review test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies
