Job summary

Bayer AG in Pennsylvania seeks a motivated student for a 12-month Device Research and Early Develop Co-Op focused on the development and characterization of medical devices. Onsite position. 12-Month Co-op Assignment.

You will design prototypes, develop test methods, run experiments, analyze data, and present findings to cross-functional teams, contributing to deliverables for products under development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program and returning to the academic program after the Co-op.
• Knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts.
• Ability to apply technology, engineering concepts, and methodologies to develop solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop prototype components or subassemblies for test fixtures and future medical devices.
• Develop test methods and protocols used for the evaluation of medical devices.
• Set up and execute experimental testing in a laboratory environment to generate performance data for medical devices.
• Contribute to the development of data analysis tools that improve the efficiency of evaluating experimental results.
• Prepare formal test reports documenting testing activities and results.
• Prepare and present findings to cross-functional program teams.
• Contribute to deliverables supporting fielded products and documentation requirements for products currently under development.
