Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited is seeking a co-op in its Radiology Device R&D organization to support product development projects across the lifecycle. You will work in office and laboratory settings with cross-functional teams on regulated medical devices.

The role emphasizes requirements development, verification, validation planning, risk management, and usability engineering, with opportunities to develop practical engineering solutions and contribute to technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Completion of sophomore year or higher.
• Ability to work full-time during the Co-op assignment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Assist with requirements development, review, traceability, and change management activities.
• Support verification and validation planning, execution, data collection, and reporting.
• Participate in engineering investigations and root cause analysis activities.
• Assist with risk management activities, including hazard identification, risk analysis, and risk control verification.
• Contribute to human factors and usability engineering activities, including test preparation and analysis.
• Analyze test data and prepare engineering summaries and technical reports.
• Support design reviews and cross-functional project meetings.
• Work in laboratory and office environments to develop practical solutions to engineering challenges.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Systems Engineering organization.
• Assist with technical documentation required for regulated medical device development.
