Job summary

Resonetics is seeking a Chemical Engineering professional to join the Lightspeed R&D team in Minnesota. You will develop prototype processes for medical device customers, focusing on chemical and material science techniques such as electroless plating, coating, patterning, and etching.

The role requires applying engineering principles to process development, documenting parameters, and collaborating with engineers to quote projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
  • Solid understanding of materials science and chemical processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex processes
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with computer-controlled measurement systems
  • Leadership in meetings and clear communication of engineering ideas
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining, planning, and execute prototype projects per quoted conditions with innovation and urgency
  • Apply fundamental engineering and scientific principles to process development challenges
  • Set up and modify workstation program software to produce acceptable product
  • Read and interpret print specifications and document measurements per Quality Systems
  • Document process parameters and project details per Quality Systems
  • Collaborate with engineers to complete a Quote
  • Communicate data accurately in Resonetics digital systems
  • Participate in Advanced Technology Group activities
