Job summary

Boston Scientific in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build, assemble and test medical devices following defined processes. The role requires reading English work instructions and using a variety of machines under supervision of engineers.

You will train others, maintain certifications, and participate in process improvements, Lean initiatives and pre-production activities. Overtime may be required; prior medical device experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in communication and English reading of work instructions.
• 1 year of work experience in manufacturing and/or assembly.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Experience with maintaining accurate records and training files.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair, inspect and test products following written instructions.
• Read and comprehend English work documents and instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers on process changes and suggest improvements.
• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment per written guidelines.
• Train other employees when necessary and maintain required certifications.
• Overtime may be required and safety protocols must be followed.
