Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a detail-oriented assembler in a clean-room environment to work across electronic, mechanical, and packaging functions for pacemakers and related devices. The role requires dexterity, the ability to read specifications, and meticulous documentation practices.

You will operate microscopes and precision tools, inspect components, and participate in quality assurance under FDA-regulated processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in bio-medical field or clean-room environment with environmental controls.
• Assembly of digital/analog circuitry, devices or components.
• Proficient with standard hand tools in bio-instrument assembly.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong reading, spelling and grammar skills; clear English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic assembly: weld, solder, x-ray, test medical devices and parts.
• Cast/coat: locate bubbles, remove epoxy, bake patches for cure.
• Mechanical assembly: kit, bond, coat, and inspect devices under microscopes.
• Packaging: assemble and package devices, verify documentation.
• Set up/test equipment and assist with priority tasks as needed.
• Notify supervisor about materials or production issues; follow quality systems.
