Job summary

Aerotek is hiring Cleanroom Technicians and Medical Assemblers in San Diego, CA. The role requires precision assembly in a regulated cleanroom, with experience using calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and maintaining accurate documentation.

This contract-to-hire position offers on-site work in a controlled environment and weekend shifts. Expect to handle detailed assembly tasks on medical device components, adhere to strict quality standards, and collaborate with R&D and production teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Previous medical device manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in cleanroom environment preferred.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring equipment.
• Comfortable working with microscopes and small components.
• Strong documentation and data entry skills.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and perform seated, repetitive work for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical device components following detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing procedures.
• Perform precision assembly and processing of parts throughout various stages of production.
• Conduct visual and microscope inspections to identify defects and ensure product quality.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Complete production documentation, travelers, labels, and quality records accurately.
• Maintain compliance with cleanroom standards and contamination control procedures.
• Operate manufacturing equipment safely while adhering to established SOPs.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and report non-conforming materials or processes.
• Assist with both production manufacturing and research & development projects as needed.
