Job summary

EXALTA Group in Kenosha, WI seeks an Assembly Technician I for the 2nd shift to assemble medical instruments and subassemblies following blueprints and procedures. You will ensure quality per specifications and assist with secondary operations as needed.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, using precision measuring tools, performing in-process quality checks, and documenting results in the ERP system. Requires 1–3 years in mechanical assembly and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in mechanical assembly
• Experience in ISO/FDA environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficient in math and measurements
• Excellent manual dexterity with small components
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
• Proficient in machine shop measuring equipment
• Ability to be highly accurate with attention to detail
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues
• Ability to follow work instructions and maintain consistent output

Responsibilities

• Assemble components into medical devices following approved procedures and ISO/FDA regulations
• Align components according to torque specifications
• Load, operate and unload machines for breaking in cams
• Perform assembly tasks including glue, paint, and Masterbond/Loctite applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with appropriate personnel
• Conduct in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products
• Maintain production records and documentation per ISO 13485 and FDA requirements
• Cross-train for secondary operations as part of a cross-functional team
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and meeting productivity targets
