Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Medical Driver in North Aurora, IL to join our healthcare logistics team. You will operate a company-owned vehicle, transport lab specimens, medical records, and supplies on a Saturday/Sunday schedule, with a $17.25 hourly base pay and increases for after-hours and weekend shifts.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, be comfortable with technology, and demonstrate reliable, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19+ years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company-owned vehicle, transporting lab specimens and supplies.
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Follow policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items as needed.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean.
• Route assignments may change and vary by client needs.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to maintain service quality.
