Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, IL seeks a Courier/Delivery Clerk to transport mail, supplies, bank deposits, pharmaceuticals and lab specimens between Carle facilities and partners. You will use handheld scanner to log deliveries and ensure items are delivered securely and on time.

The role requires a valid Illinois driver’s license and customer service experience; you’ll maintain vehicle and equipment, resolve issues, and support shipping and receiving tasks in a fast-paced health-system environment.

Responsibilities

• Transports supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, bank deposits, and lab specimens to Carle and non-Carle facilities delivering them electronically with the use of a handheld scanning device.
• Ensures that assigned vehicle, pool vehicles and other equipment are clean and in good repair.
• Resolves customer related issues and assists with locating lost or missing items.
• Performs STAT runs as needed.
• Conducts assigned delivery route efficiently while always maintaining safe driving behavior
• Ensures supplies/specimens are transported intact.
• Transports hazardous materials safely and in compliance with policy.
• Picks up USPS mail as assigned.
• Assists in shipping, receiving and stocking supplies
