Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a Courier in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role involves transporting specimens, reports, and supplies between hospitals and offsite operations, using hospital-owned vehicles under state and federal regulations.

Duties include pre/post trip inspections, maintaining cleanliness, and coordinating with dispatchers. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid Illinois Class D license, and 6 months to 1 year of driving

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or four years of equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Good interpersonal skills and honesty.

Responsibilities

• Transport specimens, reports and supplies between hospitals and offices.
• Operate hospital-owned vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicles.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and refuel/wash as needed.
• Notify management of mechanical or safety issues with vehicles.
• Provide courier service to assigned routes and ensure proper documentation.
