Job Title

Medical Components Manufacturing Operator

As a Medical Components Manufacturing Operator I, you will be responsible for performing multiple processes relating to the manufacturing of technical ceramic components used in medical devices. You will work within a team environment to meet departmental goals.

Available Shifts:

  • Weekday Days 4x10 (Monday - Thursday, 5am - 330pm)
  • Weekday Swing 4x10 (Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 1:30am)
  • Weekend Days 3x12 (Friday - Sunday, 5am - 5pm)
  • Weekend Nights 3x12 (Friday - Sunday, 5pm - 5am)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Operate multiple, complex, production equipment and/or a variety of production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions.
  • Make machine adjustments and contact appropriate person when needed.
  • Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality specifications and take appropriate action concerning parts that are not to quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements.
  • Transfer parts to next step of manufacturing process via computer software.
  • Load, unload, stack, and/or transport product via hand-truck, forklift, crane, hoist or other appropriate method.
  • Maintain clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Train incoming operators on operating processes and procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.

Experience:

  • 1 year of applicable manufacturing experience.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Read/interpret standard and metric measurements.
  • Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment such as SmartScope or CMM.
  • Use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple technology platforms.
  • Demonstrates resilience and a willingness to learn from experience, adapts to meet the needs of the changing environment.
  • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening and communication skills.
Target Hiring Range

Hourly: 19.23 - 22.13
