Job summary

HouseWorks in Waltham, MA seeks VA Medical Companion Drivers to provide compassionate in-home care. The role offers full-time, part-time, or per diem schedules with a focus on safe, dignified senior living at home.

Applicants should have an HHA certificate or CNA license, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to reliable transportation. Training and ongoing support are provided in a family-like, supportive culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation required.
• HHA Certificate or CNA License required.
• Open availability strongly preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Experience as CNA, PCA, Homemaker, or Companion is a plus.
• Compassionate, patient and dependable personality.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light housekeeping, errands, meal prep, grocery shopping, and transportation.
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and conversation to promote emotional well-being.
• Provide medication reminders as needed.
• Document daily activities, client well-being, and any changes in condition.
