Job summary

HouseWorks in Waltham, MA is hiring VA Medical Companion Drivers to support seniors at home with personal care, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation. Flexible schedules include full-time, part-time, or per diem.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, an HHA/CNA license, a valid driver’s license with insurance, open availability, and must pass a criminal background check. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation (required).
• HHA Certificate or CNA License (required).
• Open availability strongly preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Previous experience as CNA/PCA/Homemaker/Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light housekeeping, errands, meal prep, grocery shopping, and transportation.
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and conversation to promote emotional well-being.
• Provide medication reminders as needed.
• Document daily activities, client well-being, and any changes in condition.

Your Responsibilities
