Job Description

Medical Collections Specialist: The clerk supports the collections team in daily functions for Praesum Healthcare and all affiliates by performing assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Creates daily reports for patient accounts; Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
• Calls patients to notify them of balances
• Creates and sends patient statements
• Posts credit card payments daily (payment plans from collectors)
• Runs monthly statement Detox & IOP review statements for high balances and unadjusted claims
• Works on write‑off accounts
• Follows up on returned mail (incorrect address, etc.)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1‑year experience in collections
• High call volume experience
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Outgoing personality and comfortable on the phone with patients
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task

Schedule

• Full Time
• 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Monday – Friday
