A leading healthcare organization seeks a Healthcare Billing & Claims Specialist for a fully remote position. LHH is partnering with a confidential, industry-leading healthcare organization to hire a Healthcare Billing & Claims Specialist. This fully remote position is ideal for candidates with strong insurance collections experience, particularly those who excel in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.
In this role, you’ll focus on resolving complex insurance claim issues as part of a specialized projects team. You will work across payer types and systems to maximize reimbursement and ensure accurate and timely collections. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoy analyzing claim data for trends and solutions will be highly successful here.
Responsibilities :
Review and resolve unpaid or underpaid claims through investigation, follow-up, and remediation.
Conduct root cause analysis on denials, billing errors, and short payments to determine trends and develop corrective actions.
Rebill or appeal claims, verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and correct patient or coding errors as necessary.
Work directly with payers, providers, clinics, and internal departments to gather documentation, provide clarification, and resolve outstanding balances.
Maintain detailed documentation of account activity, status, and resolution steps within internal systems.
Navigate multiple payer portals, healthcare applications, and billing systems to support claim resolution.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing best practices.
Qualifications :
2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle or medical collections experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications.
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
