Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent; ICD-10-CM/CPT seminars may substitute experience.
• Certification: CCS preferred; RHIA/RHIT/CPC/CCA may be required or encouraged.
• Experience: Prior medical records coding experience is preferred; physician office experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Code designated medical records following ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
• Maintain quality control for all processed records.
• Abstract data per UHDDS guidelines and coding clinic instructions.
