Job summary

Innovaccer Inc. is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to independently review, analyze, and resolve front-end scrubs and denied claims, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment.

You will apply CPT/ICD-10-CM guidelines, review medical records, and prepare appeal letters when needed, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a high standard of accuracy. You will collaborate with revenue cycle partners, handle code corrections, and contribute to clean claim rates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification for at least 3 years.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and Medicare guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve front-end scrubs and denied claims.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes with modifiers.
• Review medical records to determine appropriate codes.
• Ensure codes meet medical necessity guidelines.
• Submit corrected or appealed claims with documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
