Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking a Coder Analyst to analyze medical records and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes in collaboration with providers. You will help ensure accurate coding, data abstraction, and timely billing for services rendered.

Responsibilities include reviewing encounters, verifying data, and supporting the Billing Department to maintain proper documentation and coding quality across our Covenant Medical Group practices.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for professional services or prior completion of a coding course.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to determine ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding needed for billing and reimbursement.
• Abstract and enter coding data with correct coding initiatives.
• Assist billing with timely billing and rebilling of patient information.
• Communicate with physicians for clarification and medical necessity.
