Covenant Medical Group is seeking a CodER Analyst Spec-ClinIC to analyze medical records, abstract and code procedures with correct coding initiatives, and support timely billing with the Billing Department. The role requires collaboration with providers to ensure accurate coding and data integrity across clinical documentation.

Three years of coding experience is required, with CPC certification or RHIT licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documentation in the medical record to determine ICD-10 CM and CPT-4 coding per billing guidelines.
• Verifies data in the medical record and abstracts information for charge entry.
• Uses CPT-4 and ICD-10 standards to assist providers with proper coding of procedures and diagnoses.
• Edits unbilled claim transmission reports daily to ensure timely billing.
• Participates in quality coding and audit reviews for each provider.
• Assists providers with coding questions for services rendered.
• References coding questions with Operations Manager for further research as needed.
