Clark Fork Valley Hospital is seeking a Health Information Coder responsible for reviewing, coding, and maintaining patient records to ensure accurate documentation and proper reimbursement. You will support the Revenue Cycle team and maintain required registries and records.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, coding software updates, and cross-coverage across the department, with growth potential into leadership for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a medical coding program through AAPC or AHIMA required.
• Current coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA required.
• Minimum of one year of medical coding experience required.

Responsabilités

• Review inpatient and outpatient medical records for completeness and documentation.
• Process coding work queues by reviewing and coding patient accounts for accuracy and billing readiness.
• Review, audit, and enter professional staff charges for FMN, observation, inpatient, outpatient surgery, ED accounts.
• Assist team members and providers with coding and charging questions; audit accounts as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding standards and regulatory requirements; communicate changes to staff as appropriate.
• Provide cross-coverage for other Revenue Cycle areas as needed and assist leadership as required.
