Job summary

Forks Community Hospital is seeking HIM/RHC certified coders to review and validate procedural coding and charging for Hospital, Ambulatory Surgical Department, Emergency Department, and clinics. You will ensure CPT/HCPCS accuracy, review modifiers, units, revenue codes, and supporting documentation to prevent revenue leakage and improve claim quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; coding certification within 18 months of hire.
• Experience with CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, codes, and billing concepts preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and analyze procedural coding and charging across hospital and department services.
• Research CPT/HCPCS requirements and conduct audits to identify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding and billing issues.
• Ensure documentation supports charges and codes to maintain revenue integrity.
