Job summary

The Harris Center in Texas is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join our Revenue Management team. This role reviews medical records, assigns CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM codes, and DRGs to ensure accurate professional billing and compliant reimbursement.

You will extract relevant information from records, resolve documentation gaps, and liaise with providers to clarify data while maintaining high accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AAPC or AHIMA coding certification required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a Medical Coder.

Responsibilities

• Accounts for coding and abstracting of patient encounters and coding accuracy.
• Assigns CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM codes and DRGs.
• Audits documentation and ensures compliance with coding policies.
