Boston Medical Center is seeking a Physician Practice Coder to perform CPT and ICD-10 coding reviews, audit charts, and collaborate with revenue cycle stakeholders to address denials.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent experience, a CPC/CCS certification, and 2–5 years in a multi-specialty coding environment. On-site position in the Boston area with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in medical coding.
• CPC/CCS certification required for the role.
• 2-5 years of multi-specialty physician coding experience.

Responsabilités

• Review patient records and code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS.
• Identify and sequence diagnoses, procedures, and complications per guidelines.
• Audit charts to ensure accurate coding for billing.
• Research coding issues and respond to denials with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain productivity and ongoing coding education.
• Adhere to HIPAA and hospital safety standards.
• Support denial analysis and coding workflow improvements.
