Boston Medical Center is seeking a Physician Practice Coder to review physician medical records for accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS coding and charge capture. The role collaborates with revenue cycle teams to analyze denials, perform root-cause analysis, and provide feedback to providers.

Responsibilities include chart audits, maintaining coding credentials, and adhering to hospital policies and HIPAA rules. This is a full-time on-site position in the Boston area.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required or equivalent experience.
• CPC/CCS certification required.
• 2–5 years in a multi-specialty physician coding environment with coding, compliance, and billing experience.

Responsabilités

• Review patient records and abstract diagnoses and procedures.
• Code diagnoses and procedures with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS.
• Reference coding aids to ensure accurate billing.
• Follow official guidelines for coding and reporting.
• Resolve coding denials through root-cause analysis.
